Double Irish Chain Unidentified Quilt Maker Circa 1890 89 x 89 inches Origin Unknown; Likely Pennsylvania This exceptionally large quilt displays some major hallmarks of the Pennsylvania German style: It is made entirely of bright printed cotton colors, and has a printed back. At almost 90 inches square, this would work well on a modern bed; it is also in extraordinarily good condition -- it appears to be unused.
