Stainless Steel Fire Poker

Bonfire by Design created the perfect accessory for any of our standard fire pit, smokeless fire pit designs, or any fire with our stainless steel fire pit poker. We source our solid stainless steel rod and Zine Steel Spring Handle right here in the USA, and it is all crafted and created by me, Shawn. The fire pit poker rod is 1/2 inch solid stainless steel and has a 4-inch long hook. The spring handle will ensure that your fire pit poker will never get too hot to handle. The hook and spring handle are welded onto the rod so it will never fall off. The bottom has a point and hook on the end to help push, lift, or pull logs. Material and Sizing information Fire poker lengths are 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44 and 46 inches. Shorter lengths suit smaller diameter fire rings or camping, especially if space is limited in your camper. The most common size people buy is between 32 and 40 inches long. The hook size (4 inches) is the same regardless of the length, to keep those logs in check. Made from stainless steel, there is no need to paint these pokers; let the beautiful cool steel color shine through. However, stainless steel pokers may exhibit color variations, often referred to as a rainbow effect, after exposure to fire heat. These variations may be visible along welded areas. This color change will not impact how your fire poker works but adds to the beauty. Hot in the fire, not in your hand Lastly, although the spring dissipates heat before reaching your hand, we caution against grabbing the rod after it has been used in a fire. Stainless steel can hold heat without glowing red (think of stainless steel kitchen pans if you have ever used them). And maybe it goes without saying but the longer it’s in the fire, the hotter it will be. Check out our YouTube video to see it in action. Need something bigger? Want something custom?
