STAINLESS STEEL ASAP SR. POLE SLIP BUSHING

The Mattos Designs ASAP Sr. Pole Slip Bushing is a precision component designed for customizing telescoping stage poles without requiring machine shop facilities. Constructed from durable stainless steel, this accessory facilitates a secure connection between different tube diameters, effectively taking the machining work out of the build process. Two size configurations are manufactured to bridge standard gaps: one reduces from 2 inches to 1.5 inches, while a second model transitions from 1.5 inches to 1 inch. This hardware supports the construction of 2-stage ASAP Sr. assemblies where alignment and wall thickness may vary. The internal geometry accommodates hex walls requiring flattening or rounding during the assembly phase. Design specifications align with engineering principles found in the original concept document referenced here. Product Type: Slip Bushing Application: 2-Stage Pole Assembly Available Ratios: 2" to 1.5" and 1.5" to 1" Installation requires attention to the physical condition of the pole pipes. Variations in pipe outer diameter or oxidation levels can impact performance. Always verify that the bushing moves smoothly inside the tube before fully assembling the structure. Minor surface preparation using a scotch-brite type pad may be necessary to eliminate friction and ensure a flush fit throughout the service life of the pole.
