Staggerwing Lyons Studios Limited Edition Aviation Print

Though only a precious few enjoy the privilege of calling a Beech Staggerwing their own, with his impeccable 11" x 22" illustration Staggerwing, world-renowned aviation artist Sam Lyons affords everyone the opportunity to welcome a pristine Model 17 into their stable of aircraft - and at an extremely budget-friendly price. This remarkably lifelike drawing showcases an immaculate, crimson-colored Staggerwing parked amidst a rich natural backdrop. Fans of the iconic 1930s racer will savor Lyons' astonishingly accurate portrayal of the Model 17. Everything from the characteristic cowling over its Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior to its distinct interplane struts to the negative stagger angle of its wings is identical to those found on the real McCoy. Further enhancing the image's esteem is the artist's meticulous devotion to the dense vegetation around the taildragger. So realistic is the verdant setting that the picture appears three-dimensional. Spend a few minutes taking it all in and you're bound to feel like Alice peering through the looking glass. This item is available as both an Artist Proof (limited to 50) and a signed & numbered Limited Edition print (limited to 500). Both versions are printed on acid-free paper, utilize first-rate permanent inks, and include a Certificate of Authenticity. Also offered as a Gallery Edition Canvas Giclee with frame (limited to 12). Far and away the best artistic portrayal of a Model 17 Staggerwing ever created.
