Sold in sets of 1 A truss head is a type of rivet head that provides a larger bearing surface and a lower profile than pan or round heads.  It is also known as an oven head, stove head, or oval binding head. The truss head has a low profile dome head and extra wide load bearing flat surface, making it a strong hold for thin materials. It is weaker than pan and round head but used where clearance is small above the head. Truss head screws are designed to protrude out the surface into which they are driven. They provide a permanent, secure joint with minimal radial expansion so that the joint can act as a pivot.
