SRAM / Avid Elixir / XX Disc Brake Pads – Sintered Compound

These SRAM/Avid sintered disc brake pads are built for riders who need stronger braking and better heat resistance than organic pads can offer. They’re designed to hold up under harder use, longer descents, and heavier bikes without fading as quickly. This is a practical upgrade for riders who push their brakes harder, ride in wet conditions, or want longer pad life from compatible Avid and SRAM systems. Key Features • Sintered compound for higher heat tolerance • Strong, consistent braking under load • Better performance in wet and muddy conditions • Longer service life than organic pads • Steel backing plate for durability Compatibility & Use Notes • Pad Style ID: 3 • Compatible with: – Avid DB1, DB3, DB5 – Avid Elixir, Elixir CR, Elixir R – SRAM X0, XX – SRAM Level, Level T, Level TL, Level TLM B1, Level ULT B1 – SRAM Force AXS HRD – SRAM Red AXS HRD (2nd Gen 2-piece caliper) – SRAM Rival AXS HRD • Sintered pad material • Steel backing plate • Not compatible with calipers using a different pad shape Service / Ownership Context Sintered pads run hotter and can be noisier than organic pads, especially when cold, but they last longer and resist fade better. Proper bed-in is important to prevent glazing and to protect rotors. Expect increased rotor wear compared to resin pads. Fit & Use Signals • You ride aggressively or descend frequently • You want longer pad life and heat resistance • You ride in wet or mixed conditions • Not a fit if you want the quietest braking • Not a fit if your brake uses a different pad shape
