Synergistic Research HFT (High Frequency Transducer)

These small transducers, strategically placed in the listening room make a great improvement to the sound. You can treat your room in three stages and beyond that put it on your speakers (speaker kit). The HFT's are very small and very easy to handle. They come in sets of five, a strip of Blue Tek for easy mounting is included. Officially announcing two new HFTs- HFT 2.0 and HFT X that take the HFT concept to exciting new levels. The HFT 2.0 is a warmer sounding transducer and HFT X has more details and resolution and both are intended to be used in conjunction with the original HFTs. Click the "Setup for HFT 2.0 and HFT X" tab above to see a step by step placement guide for how to install the new HFT 2.0 and HFT-X in your system. HFT Wide Angle's are added sparingly to a room already treated with HFT's. With a wider and more powerful dispersion pattern they dramatically increase your sense of immersion in the sound field while expanding the scale and dimension of your soundstage. The effect of the HFT's in combination with Synergistic's FEQ Carbon (Frequency Equalizer) can even be intensified. What they do:  - Tunes acoustics, chassis and speaker cabinet resonances  - Expands soundstage height, width and depth  - Extends and clarifies high frequencies  - Dramatically improves low frequency extension / bass control  - Lowers noise floor for improved inner detail and micro-dynamics  - Significantly improved all aspects of system performance  - Unconditional no-risk 30-day money back guarantee  - $295 per 5-pack / $75 individually HFT Speaker Kit HFT SPEAKER KIT Using a combination of HFT's, HFT 2.0's and HFT X's allows your speakers to disappear and blend into your room providing the most life-like soundstage possible.  Each HFT speaker Kit treats 1 speaker with (3) HFT's, (2) HFT 2.0's and (2) HFT's X. 7 Pack $399 Optimal combination on each speaker: HFT X — Top and below tweeter HFT 2.0 — Sides of speaker, 1/2 way, lower for warmth HFT — Bottom and back of speaker, lower back HFT for warmth HFT - Placed on the ceiling above the speakers HFT Wide Angle NEW! HFT Wide Angle's are added sparingly to a room already treated with HFT's. With a wider and more powerful dispersion pattern they dramatically increase your sense of immersion in the sound field while expanding the scale and dimension of your soundstage. Available: Wide Angle Set of 3, Wide Angle X single and Wide Angle Combo (2 Wide Angle and 1 Wide Angle X). Needless to say, the Synergistic Research HFT/FEQ combination I used in this review is not going anywhere. They are now an integral part of my reference audio system..." With just a few in our system and we were beginning to hear the holistic changes in the room.  We started with the speaker only sets of HFTs, one module per side at a time.  Over the course of testing and tuning, we hear subtle shift and changes that end up accumulating to a significant change.  The soundstage would grow bigger and provide more depth..."  CLICK HERE to check out the entire review Dr. David W. Robinson, Editor-in-Chief, PFO, November 2015: "...with every placement of these very small transducers (HFT, HFT 2.0 and HFT X), the soundfield of our listening room started to fill in, flesh out, and bloom with more transparency, details, and a kiss of warmth. It was as if pieces of a 3D sonic puzzle were being assembled right in front of me, and gaps that had not been obvious before were being exposed, and then healed..." The HFTs are tiny high frequency transducers that clean up high frequency harmonics in your listening room by cancelling the harmonic noise generated by room resonances. The FEQ is an ultra low frequency RF pulse generator that acts as a low frequency dither to overpower the ambient RFI and EMI fields. The combination of the FEQ and HFTs has made the biggest improvement in my system’s performance since I been reviewing high end audio components over the last 11 years. Considering the physical size of the HFTs and FEQ as compared to all other room acoustic enhancement devices and their comparative performance, the FEQ and HFT resides in the best in class category for room acoustic treatment. From an ergonomic and aesthetic standpoint alone they are revolutionary in the application of room acoustic enhancement. Happy was the day I removed my previous reference room acoustic treatments and replaced them with the FEQ and HFT's (and it wasn’t a secret that my family felt the same way). The combination of the FEQ and HFT is a paradigm shift in room treatment device design and delivers on its promised performance..." Check it out Steve Plaskin, Stereophile's AudioStream.com, Oct. 2013: "...I have never heard anything that was as effective in elevating the performance of a high end system as the combination of the Synergistic Research HFT and the FEQ... soundstage, noise floor, bass detail and dynamic power, midrange and high end clarity all improve with the use of these products... the Synergistic Research High Frequency Transducer and Frequency Equalizer will become a permanent part of my audio system. Removing these components is simply unthinkable given the quality of the sonic enhancement achieved with their use..." Howard Kneller, Soundstage.com, June 2014 (Reviewer's Choice Award): "...with each additional Level of HFT the noise floor dropped, exposing all kinds of previously hidden microdetails. Voices became less congested, more timbrally accurate and detailed. Imaging greatly improved. Bass lines firmed up and exposed previously masked resonances. High frequencies lost their edgy hardness. The soundstage increased in both height and width..." "...when it came time to attach the HFTs to my speaker cabinets, for Level IV, everything improved even further. The speakers themselves 'vanished' even more than they had before, leaving only the music, which was remarkably distributed across the soundstage. And the noise floor somehow dropped even lower, which only enhanced the density of tonal colors..."
