Squishy Circuits Magic Wand Switch

Squishy Circuits Magic Wand Switch Recommended Grades: 3+   Highlights: You’re in control with the Squishy Circuits Magic Wand Switch. Tap or wave the wand near the switch and your Squishy Circuits will spring to life. Remove the wand and they’ll remain unpowered. Is it actually magic? No, it uses a reed switch. Reed switches are controlled by magnets. In this case, when there is a magnet near, it closes the switch and allows electricity to flow through it powering the rest of the circuit. Under the black tip of the wand is a small magnet to control the reed switch. For an even more magical look, you can embed the reed switch in the dough so that it can’t be seen.
