Squash Iconic Power Reel String

The Dunlop Iconic Power Reel is a premium multifilament squash string designed for players who want to maximize their shot depth and pace without sacrificing arm comfort. It is particularly popular among attacking players who rely on "heavy" drives and fast-paced volleys. While it shares some DNA with the Iconic Pro (used by PSA pros like Ali Farag), the Iconic Power is specifically tuned for higher energy return. Technical Specifications Construction: Premium multifilament core powered by Srixon technology. Material: High-elasticity fibers bonded with specialized Polyurethane (PU). Gauge: Typically available in 18G (1.10mm)—an ultra-thin profile that increases ball "bite" and snapback. Reel Length: Standard reels are 200m, providing roughly 10 to 11 restrings depending on racquet size and stringing technique. Key Performance Features Explosive Power: The thin 1.10mm gauge allows the string bed to deform more upon impact. This creates a "trampoline effect" that launches the ball with significantly more velocity than thicker, more rigid strings. Superior Comfort & Feel: The use of PU (Polyurethane) fibers helps absorb high-frequency vibrations. This makes the string very "arm-friendly," reducing the risk of fatigue or tennis elbow during long, intense matches. Tension Stability: Multifilament strings can sometimes "bag out" (lose tension quickly), but the Iconic Power is engineered with a firm fiber wrap that holds its tension longer, ensuring your shots feel consistent from the first day of stringing until the string eventually breaks. Crisp Feedback: Unlike some soft strings that can feel "mushy," the Iconic Power provides a crisp, clean sound and tactile feedback at impact, allowing for better control over touch shots and drops.
