Square Premium Pro-Tech Felt Western Pad

If you are seeking the absolute best quality felt available for horse tack, look no further!  Our Premium Pro-Tech pad, made in the USA, is constructed with the finest virgin Merino needled wool felt. And these pads come with a layer of ThinLine, including a pocket for your saddle fitting needs, plus a breathable mesh spine band that allows for optimal airflow.  You can now own the softest, most durable saddle pad ever made for Western riding. Your horse will love you for it! To improve balance and responsiveness, and create sounder horses, try ThinLine. So how does a 3/16” thick pad of ThinLine stitched onto a 1/2” thick wool felt pad make you a better-balanced rider and your horse more responsive and sounder? In a few ways… The thin, Pro-Tech Premium Felt Saddle Pad eliminates pressure points and provides more shock absorption than a 2-inch thick felt pad. The pad is soft and flexible, allowing it to fit neatly and mold comfortably against your horses’ natural conformation. Without the extra movement and “dead” feel of thick gel pads between you and your horse, you can feel each other. Features Of The Square Premium Pro-Tech Felt Western Pad For the Horse This Western felt saddle pad has a wither-relief cutout which is best for moderate to low or mutton withered horses and a breathable mesh spine band, further reducing the chance of pressure points.  This thin pad frees up more room for narrow or snug-fitting saddles and improves the comfort of horses even with perfectly fitted saddles. The ThinLine also ventilates allowing excess heat to move out from under the saddle.  Most important, to your horse, is how this pad creates stability. For the Rider This Pro-Tech felt saddle pad’s slim design puts you in closer contact with your horse, so your leg can easily drape giving you a seamless feel of his sides.  You’ll notice his back moving more.  But with the extraordinary shock absorption of ThinLine, you will be moving in unison with your mount.  The ThinLine layer sewn onto the pad has a 95% shock absorption rate that spreads impact LATERALLY. This means that the motion you feel under you as you ride is absorbed by the ThinLine and transferred ACROSS the pad instead of UP into your spine. And this same shock absorption benefit is enjoyed by your horse as well. With a reduced movement of your seat, your balance is easier to keep, helping you stay with your horse, even during quick stops and starts. You sit quieter, and he responds with relaxed, soft, back and freer strides. Shimming for Protection and Saddle Fit: Underneath the ThinLine layer is a pocket to insert shims. If you need help with minor saddle fit adjustments, purchase this Western felt saddle pad. Use it alone or add shims. Either way, your saddle will fit better and your horse will use his back better and stay sounder longer.  Shims are made of the same amazing ThinLine material that is sewn onto your pad.
