This Alexandrite Simulant is made from lab-created Corundum, exhibiting a grayish purple. Suitable for everyday wear, with the durability of 9 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness. This stone may be fired in metal clay and safe to cast in place. Clean with warm, soapy water. Use of ultrasonic and steam cleaner is usually safe.
