Spyderco Manbug MBKP – 1.96″ Satin VG-10 Leaf-Shaped PlainEdge Blade, Black FRN Handle, Back Lock

Spyderco Manbug MBKP – Big-Knife Cutting Power in a Keychain Folder The Spyderco Manbug MBKP is Sal Glesser's answer to everyone who loved the Ladybug's cutting authority but wanted something that filled a larger hand. At 4.46" overall and just 0.7 oz, this Japanese-made EDC pocket knife vanishes into a pocket or rides on a keychain, yet its 1.96" leaf-shaped blade slices well above its weight class. The full-flat-ground VG-10 stainless blade carries a satin finish and a PlainEdge for clean, controlled cuts, while the bi-directionally textured black FRN handle delivers genuine grip at this size. A proven back lock secures the blade open, and the signature Spyderco Round Hole allows fast one-handed opening. It is one of the most practical small Spyderco pocket knives ever made. The Spyderco Manbug MBKP uses VG-10 stainless steel, a cobalt-enriched Japanese cutlery steel prized for its balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance and easy resharpening. How long is the blade on the Spyderco Manbug MBKP? Spyderco lists the Spyderco Manbug MBKP blade at 1.96" (50 mm) with a 1.75" cutting edge, a 4.46" overall length and a 2.5" closed length. What is a leaf-shaped blade? A leaf shape has a gently curved belly that tapers to a fine, centered point — the profile used on the Spyderco Manbug MBKP. It balances slicing, piercing and general utility better than a purely straight or purely curved blade. How does the back lock on the Spyderco Manbug MBKP work? A spring-tensioned rocker bar drops into a notch in the blade tang. To close the Spyderco Manbug MBKP, press the exposed bar in the middle of the spine and fold the blade back into the handle. How do I sharpen the Spyderco Manbug MBKP? The full-flat-ground PlainEdge on the Spyderco Manbug MBKP sharpens easily on ceramic rods or a guided system. Match the factory bevel angle and finish with light alternating passes to strip the burr. Is the Spyderco Manbug MBKP legal to carry? With a 1.96" blade, the Spyderco Manbug MBKP falls under most local blade-length limits, but knife laws vary by city, state and country. Always confirm your own regulations before carrying. Does the Spyderco Manbug MBKP come with a pocket clip? No. The Spyderco Manbug MBKP is a clipless design with a lanyard hole, so it drops into a pocket or attaches to a keychain rather than clipping to a waistband. Where can I buy the Spyderco Manbug MBKP? You can buy the Spyderco Manbug MBKP at Going Gear, an authorized Spyderco dealer, with full factory warranty support on every knife we ship.
