Spun Sconce

The L&G Spun Sconce takes the same spun metal concept from their pendant and adapts it for wall mounting - which turns out to be perfect for places where you want light but pendants don't make sense. The compact size (about 6 inches across) means it's got personality without eating up wall space, and that conical shade directs light in an 80-degree spread that's wide enough to be useful but focused enough to avoid washing everything out. Great flanking bathroom mirrors where you need even lighting without harsh shadows, lining a hallway where overhead lights feel too formal, or mounted beside your bed as reading lights that actually let you read without disturbing anyone sleeping next to you. The fact that it can also work as a flush mount ceiling fixture gives you options for tight spaces where traditional fixtures just hang too low. Material choices here let you match whatever vibe you're going for without settling. Frosted glass creates this soft diffused glow that's particularly nice in bedrooms or bathrooms where harsh light at night is the worst. Brushed brass brings warmth and works with both traditional and contemporary spaces - it's one of those finishes that just ages well. Matte black powder coat gives you that clean modern look, while rust or cream glass options play with transparency and warmth in ways that change how the light feels in your space. Takes standard E26/E27 bulbs (G25 or G95 size) up to 75 watts, so you've got flexibility with brightness levels. Needs a dimmable bulb and wall dimmer, which honestly you want anyway for controlling ambiance. At just 3 pounds, installation is straightforward without needing special anchors, and the UL/cUL certification covers you for safety standards. L&G is a Brooklyn studio that treats every fixture like it should earn its place in your home through both function and design. They're working with spun metal, hand-blown glass, and materials that develop character over time rather than just looking pristine in showrooms. The Spun collection shows their approach - simple forms executed well, honest materials, and proportions that work in real spaces where people actually live.
