Spun Iron Prospector Casserole

On the stovetop, in the oven, on the grill, and right to the table — the Prospector Casserole does it all and looks beautiful doing it. Made of spun iron, which is thinner and lighter than cast iron of the same size, it excels at searing, sauteeing, frying, and roasting. Eggs glide easily over the smooth non-stick seasoning, and we love it for paella, too. Like our Mineral B pans or a cast iron, it gets better and better the more you use it. The Casserole version of the Prospector Pan comes with a matching spun iron lid with one hole in the top to vent steam. The pan arrives pre-seasoned with natural flax oil, and we recommend adding another coat of seasoning (with flax, avocado, or another polymerizing oil) before first use. Heat the pan slowly beginning over lower heat to prevent warping.
