SPT Labtech Benchtop Decapper

Upgrade your laboratory automation workflow with the SPT Labtech Benchtop Decapper, a compact, high-performance system engineered for automated decapping of 96-format screw-cap tubes. Designed by SPT Labtech—a trusted global manufacturer of laboratory automation solutions—this unit helps laboratories improve throughput, consistency, and operator safety while protecting sample integrity. Ideal for clinical, biobanking, pharmaceutical, and research laboratories, the SPT Labtech decapper eliminates the variability and ergonomic strain associated with manual tube handling. Automated, uniform cap removal reduces the risk of repetitive strain injuries while helping maintain clean, contamination-controlled workflows, especially in high-throughput environments. The space-efficient benchtop footprint makes this system easy to integrate into existing laboratory layouts without requiring large automation enclosures. It is compatible with a wide range of commonly used 96-format screw-cap tube racks and labware, supporting flexible deployment across multiple applications such as sample preparation, storage workflows, and downstream analytical processing. Designed for reliability and ease of use, the system delivers fast, consistent decapping across an entire rack, improving turnaround times while ensuring reproducible results from sample to sample. The unit operates using a laboratory compressed air or argon supply, reducing electrical complexity and supporting stable, repeatable mechanical performance.
