Sprinter Boxwood

Buxus microphylla 'Bulthouse' USPP 25,896   Proven Winners named this boxwood appropriately, as it has shown itself to be one of the fastest growing boxwoods in production today. One gardener claimed it doubled its size in a year! ‘Sprinter’ is a form of ‘Winter Gem’ boxwood. It exhibits attractive evergreen foliage all year (even during the winter), excellent hardiness to zone 5, and has a more upright habit ideal for creating hedges. ‘Sprinter’ reaches a mature size between 2 and 4 feet tall and wide, perfect for a fuss-free foundation planting. Seldom needs pruning except to lightly shape, and performs well in sun and shade. Looks lovely in containers flanking a doorway or planted as a border around a traditional English garden.
