Spring Gold Colorado Spruce

The Spring Gold Colorado Spruce gives you something many evergreens do not: a clear seasonal change that makes the plant feel fresh again each spring. New growth opens in a creamy white flush that stands out against the older blue foliage, creating a bright two-tone effect at the very time the garden is waking up. As the season moves forward, that new growth gradually deepens to blue, giving you an evergreen that shifts gracefully while still providing lasting structure. With 6–8 inches of growth a year, full sun performance and Zone 2 hardiness, it offers beauty you can enjoy without giving up control of the space. Brings More Excitement to Spring Spring Gold Colorado Spruce earns attention right when the season begins. Its creamy white new growth creates a striking contrast against the older blue needles, giving your landscape a brighter, more finished look without relying on flowers alone. That color change helps focal areas stand out and gives nearby plantings a stronger backdrop. For homeowners who want a garden that feels more alive in spring, this tree adds that lift in a simple, lasting way. Offers Year-Round Structure with Changing Interest Some evergreens stay steady but do not change much from season to season. This one gives you both structure and variation. As the creamy spring flush matures, it gradually darkens to blue, so the tree settles into a classic evergreen look for the rest of the growing season. That means you get a plant with a special spring moment and dependable color after it. Young plants start with an irregular form that is wider than tall, then develop into an attractive upright tree as they mature, adding a stronger presence over time. Fits Sunny Landscapes with Dependable Performance Because it grows only 6–8 inches a year, Spring Gold Colorado Spruce is easier to place and manage than a fast-growing evergreen. It has time to make an impact without quickly overwhelming the space. Full sun helps bring out its best performance, and Zone 2 hardiness gives gardeners in colder regions a reliable option for long-term color and structure. The result is a durable focal point that keeps earning its place in the landscape.
