Spring Creeks - Winter Fly Box

Fish the Spring Creeks like you know it — because now you do.   The Spring Creeks Winter Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Spring Creeks from December through March. The spring creeks fish year-round due to their constant water temperatures. Winter midge fishing is consistent and the relative solitude compared to summer makes it a favorite season for experienced spring creek anglers.   This box is built around the Spring Creeks's winter hatch calendar — midges almost exclusively. Every fly was chosen with technical midge fishing with the lightest tippet you can manage in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering midge larvae, midge pupae, zebra midges, and tiny soft hackles. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: Winter on the spring creeks is a true test of skill. Size 22-24 midges on 7X tippet to fish that have seen every pattern — this is where great fly fishers are made.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Spring Creeks or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
