Subscription includes: YOU by Rosa Alcalá: The prose poems in YOU scour the distance between girlhood and middle age with wit, fraying into ruminations on all that’s inherited as a woman surviving gendered violence. Prairie, Dresses, Art, Other by Danielle Dutton:  From the "strikingly smart and daringly feminist" (Jenny Offill) author of Margaret the First and SPRAWL comes a prose collection like no other, where different styles of writing and different spaces of experience create a collage of the depths and strangeness of contemporary life. Dark Soil: Fictions and Mythographies edited by Angie Sijun Lou with stories by Karen Tei Yamashita: Eight authors’ works of personal nonfiction join with ten new stories by Karen Tei Yamashita to illuminate the hidden histories of places large and small. Cecilia by K-Ming Chang: An erotic, surreal novella from the author of Organ Meats and Bestiary, Cecilia is a winding, misty road trip through bodily transformation, the inextricable histories of violence and love, and the ghosts of girlhood friendship. Out of the Sierra: A Story of Rarámuri Resistance by Victoria Blanco: One displaced Rarámuri family charts a path forward for themselves and their community in this testament to the power of perseverance and the many forms resistance can take. Fog & Car by Eugene Lim: Reconciling life after divorce, Jim secludes himself in the Midwest, living in an aimless nostalgia, while Sarah runs headfirst through New York in an attempt to bypass the grief of her dissolved marriage. Mystically connected by an old friend and the effects of his actions, they both attempt to chase him down—the resulting unexplained coincidences, cryptic fortunes, and trading of souls blur the lines between reality and the supernatural. The Murmuring Grief of the Americas by Daniel Borzutzky: Powerfully, musically rich poems that explore hemispheric grief caused by mass capitalism, militarized policing, and nightmarish urban and immigration policies.
