Filter Storage & Maintenance 📦 Long-Term Storage Instructions If your Sport Berkey will not be used for an extended period, flush the filter with a chlorinated solution (1/4 tsp. chlorine per half-gallon of water). Allow the unit to dry thoroughly with the cap removed. Once completely dry, re-assemble and store in a clean, dry location. When to Replace: Replace the filter when you've reached capacity (160 or 640 refills depending on water source) or when flow rate noticeably decreases. For best performance and safety, track your refills and replace on schedule.
