One-of-a-kind Splatter Mugs designed by Peter Shire. These functional and sculptural mugs are crafted by Echo Park Pottery in Los Angeles using slab construction and individually hand-painted. Sold individually. Since the 1970s, Shire has been working at the intersection of craft, fine art, and industrial design. He is perhaps best known for his work with the Memphis Group, where he designed products alongside Ettore Sottsass, Nathalie Du Pasquier and Shiro Kuramata. Please note: Each mug is unique, with variations in handle shape—some are rounded, others pointed. Your mug will be selected at random. If you purchase multiples, we’ll aim to choose complementary pieces. This current batch features consistent glaze and color tones, with only subtle variations. All mugs will closely resemble the ones shown.
