Spinosaurus Neural Spine Fragment - Authentic Kem Kem Fossil Specimen

The dorsal sail of Spinosaurus - formed by dramatically elongated neural spines rising from each vertebra - is one of the most visually distinctive structures in the entire dinosaur fossil record. The function of this sail remains a subject of active scientific debate: thermoregulation, sexual display, fat storage, and species recognition have all been proposed. Whatever its purpose, it made Spinosaurus unmistakable. This authentic Spinosaurus neural spine fossil is a piece of a real fossilized Spinosaurus neural spine from the Kem Kem fossil beds of Morocco. A Fragment of the Most Debated Structure in Dinosaur Paleontology This is not a cast. This is a genuine piece of a Spinosaurus neural spine - the elongated vertebral process that formed the sail of the largest carnivorous dinosaur ever discovered. Presented with an informational card that serves as the statement of authenticity. The Authentic Spinosaurus Neural Spine Fossil for Your Collection This specimen is the complement to the Spinosaurus Tooth collection - tooth and sail together represent the two most iconic anatomical features of this extraordinary dinosaur.
