Speedball Deluxe Soft Rubber Brayer, 6 Inch

SKU: 54339 MFG: 004129 DESCRIPTION: The Speedball Deluxe Soft Rubber Brayer is designed for smooth, even ink application in block printing, relief printing, and related printmaking techniques. Its 6-inch roller is made from soft natural latex gum rubber with a precision-ground surface that helps distribute ink consistently across linoleum, soft carving blocks, and woodcut surfaces. The roller has a 40/42 durometer rating, giving it enough flexibility to conform to relief surfaces while maintaining controlled coverage. A heavy-duty steel frame provides support during repeated rolling and helps resist warping under pressure. Speedball recommends the soft rubber brayer for both water-soluble and oil-based printmaking inks. The 6-inch width makes this model particularly useful for covering larger blocks efficiently while maintaining the responsive feel of a soft roller. Its durable construction makes it suitable for studio, classroom, and home printmaking setups.
