Specialized Recon 3.0 MTB Shoe

KOM/QOM chasers, race podium contenders, and all speed enthusiasts no longer need to sacrifice comfort, durability, or off-the-bike functionality when searching for an efficient, race-ready shoe. The all-new Recon 3.0 offers the scientifically proven performance benefits of Body Geometry, combining style, comfort, and lightweight capability like never before. Like all Body Geometry shoes, the Recon 3.0 is ergonomically designed and scientifically validated to enhance comfort, boost performance, and reduce the risk of injury for every rider. Research has confirmed that its patented technology improves power output by 7 watts.  Stride technology provides a flexible outsole and upper around the toe box, paired with a stiff cleat pocket. This design allows the shoe to flex comfortably when walking while maintaining stiffness and efficiency when pedaling.  The Recon 3.0 incorporates lace routing, BOA® dial placement, and a carbon plate directly from our premium S-Works Recon. The BOA® Fit System, featuring dual-dial Li2, offers micro-adjustable, multi-directional precision fitting for enhanced performance. Additionally, the carbon plate keeps the Recon 3.0 lightweight and rigid, optimizing power output on the pedal while reducing weight by 10 grams compared to its predecessor. The Body Geometry sole and footbed are designed with precision and backed by scientific research to enhance power, increase efficiency, and minimize the risk of injury by optimizing hip, knee, and foot alignment. The Carbon STRIDE toe-flex technology allows for natural toe movement when off the bike, while maintaining stiffness during pedaling, boasting a Stiffness Index of 10.0. The fully-welded upper reduces seams, offering superior step-in comfort.  The BOA® Fit System with dual-dial Li2 provides micro-adjustable, multi-directional precision fit for improved performance. The SlipNot™ rubber tread ensures confident traction on all terrains and features removable toe studs.  This shoe utilizes a two-bolt cleat pattern, compatible with all major MTB pedals.
