Special Sauce

Authentic print scars, served fresh from the archives. This isn’t your average texture pack. It’s a backroom stash of beautifully flawed print artifacts. The kind you’d find on the back of a record sleeve, a forgotten Xeroxed zine, or a beat-up test sheet in a letterpress studio. We call it Special Sauce for a reason: Every mark, blob, halftone, and misprint was hand-picked from real vintage sources. This ain't faked, not Photoshopped, and definitely not some digital imitation of “grunge.” Pulled from the personal archive of illustrator and lettering artist Jason Carne, this collection is decades in the making. Scanned at high resolution, cleaned for clarity, and delivered as drag-and-drop transparent PNGs. Drop them straight into your work to add authentic grit. Or stack, mask, and experiment for more profound analog weirdness. 70 Transparent PNGs: Each scanned at 600–1200 DPI for high-quality detail. Authentic Grit: Real print artifacts, no digital simulations here. Drag-and-Drop Ready: No blending modes or special setup required. Massive Resolution: Average size is 3000–6000px on the longest edge. Endless Compatibility: Works seamlessly with Photoshop, Procreate, Illustrator, Affinity, Clip Studio Paint, and more. Curated by Jason Carne: Sourced from his decades-old archive of vintage print ephemera. Special Sauce is a love letter to the flaws of the print process. The clogged screens, misaligned plates, and unpredictable press pulls. Saved from the scrap pile, cleaned up just enough, and handed to you to keep the ink flowing.
