Sparks and Codes

Singing an extremist ideology of human decency, James Tracy lays claim to the legacy of poets of protest, knows when to whisper, and builds a lyrical home for all of us. He takes us from New Orleans to New York to the Bay Area, on a whirlwind tour of the state of America. Tracy uses the word to celebrate the everyday heroes that the mainstream media has forgotten. "No decorator of the soul with 'literary' images, James Tracy is a poet-activist whose every poement is designed to unite us with rage against injustice, and let's all have done with the system that exploits and degrades us." -Jack Hirschman, San Francisco Poet Laureate (2006)
