"Sparkle Shadow" Vintage Haori Jacket

This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori jacket. Learn more about this type of garment below. A bold, eye-catching haori that plays with contrast and light, this jacket features a black background woven with twinkly pink threads that shimmer and shift as you move. The pattern forms branching, vein-like lines across the surface creating depth and a subtle sparkle. The design can be read as lightning, tree branches, or flowing energy lines, motifs often associated with vitality, movement, and transformation. Finished with matching fabric ties, it blends traditional structure with a slightly modern, almost electric feel, making it an easy standout layer. Synthetic blend. A woman's haori is a traditional Japanese jacket worn over a kimono, designed to provide both warmth and an added layer of formality. Today, these jackets transition effortlessly into modern fashion as a lightweight, open-front layer. They can be worn over dresses, denim, or simple basics to add texture, color, and a distinctive, artful touch. Haori do not cross over or tie with a sash, like a kimono does - they are meant to be worn open to reveal a bit of what is worn beneath. An optional accessory is the haori himo - little woven ties that are hooked to the little fabric loops that you'll find at the mid-front of the haori - but they are sold separately. We'll select one that goes with this haori if you pick the Add A Himo Pair option above. To choose a pair of our fancier himo, CLICK HERE. Going to display this haori?
