This original 1947 Fallas festival poster was created to promote the annual spring celebrations in Valencia, one of Spain’s most important cultural traditions honoring Saint Joseph. The Fallas are known for their monumental sculptural monuments, fireworks, music, and street celebrations that fill the city each March. This poster was produced during the Franco period, a time of heavy censorship and economic hardship when many forms of advertising and regional expression disappeared entirely. Surviving festival posters from this era are increasingly scarce, making examples like this especially significant. It stands as both a celebration of Valencian tradition and a rare visual document from a period when much commercial and cultural ephemera was lost. Size: 45.0" x 32.0" Condition: Very Good, Age-appropriate wear, fading and toning. Light border wear.
