Space Invaders - Super Nintendo

Space Invaders is an arcade shooter for the Super Nintendo based on Taito’s original coin-operated game. This version keeps the classic alien-wave format while adding a VS. mode for head-to-head competition. Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge. Arcade-style shooting focuses on clearing descending alien formations while defending the player cannon at the bottom of the screen. Includes an arcade-perfect version of the original Space Invaders format. Four different screen-types are available for changing the visual presentation of the classic playfield. Original mode supports traditional arcade-style play, including alternating two-player sessions. VS. mode adds competitive two-player action with separate playfields and direct head-to-head scoring pressure. The Super Nintendo release preserves the fixed-screen shooter structure that made Space Invaders a recognizable arcade name while expanding it with a dedicated competitive mode. It connects the 1978 arcade design to a 16-bit home console version with multiple screen presentations.
