Apollo Soyuz Bow Tie

Apollo Soyuz Bow Tie. Real astronauts wear Cyberoptix ties! You too can share your enthusiasm for space exploration, cold war history, astronomy and the future of space flight. A second in our Rocket Science line: The Apollo–Soyuz Test Project. (Eksperimantalniy polyot Soyuz-Apollon) this image is a symbolic end to the cold war space race. The US and Soviet ships docked for the first time on July 17, 1975. We're honored to have sent the long version of this tie out to General Tom Stafford, commander of Apollo 10; commander of the Apollo-Soyuz flight, who kindly sent us a signed photo! You can see it in our image gallery.
