This commanding Soviet propaganda poster marks the 70th anniversary of the October Revolution, featuring Lenin's iconic profile rendered as a bold graphic silhouette against a deep terracotta ground. The famous Bolshevik rallying cry 'Вся власть Советам!' (All Power to the Soviets!) cascades down the composition in orange-red constructivist letterforms, anchored by the revolutionary date of 1917. Created by artist Ya. Reynberg and published by Moscow's official 'Plakat' publishing house in the late 1980s, this piece emerged during Gorbachev's perestroika era, when Soviet leaders sought to reinvigorate socialist ideals while modernizing the system. The quote in the upper corner references using Soviet political power 'more effectively in the interests of acceleration,' directly echoing the reform language of the period. A striking example of late Soviet political graphics, this poster demonstrates how the visual vocabulary established after 1917 continued to resonate seven decades later. The large format and bold design made it suitable for display in workplaces and public institutions throughout the Soviet Union. Size: 38.2" x 25.5" Artist: Ya. Reynberg (Я. Рейнберг) Condition: Very Good, Age-appropriate wear, fading and toning.
