This Soviet educational poster from the early 1980s promotes fish conservation and the protection of important species. Created by artist P. I. Serov for the Russian Hunting and Fishing Union, it features detailed illustrations of two economically important fish: the common bream and sturgeon. The headline “ПОМНИТЕ!” (“Remember!”) appears above an image of hands carefully holding water filled with young fish. The text explains the long-term value of protecting juvenile fish: a released bream can eventually produce 100,000 offspring, while a rescued sturgeon can grow to 100 kilograms and produce as many as 600,000 eggs. Published by Rosselkhozizdat in Moscow, the poster reflects Soviet efforts to educate fishermen about conservation and responsible management of fish populations, particularly valuable species such as sturgeon. Size: 24.5" x 16.25" Artist: P.I. Serov Condition: Very Good, Age-appropriate wear, fading and toning. Small blemishes near top and lower center of border. General border wear. Faint background scuffs. Please use the photo zoom feature to get a better understanding of overall condition. *Additional photos available upon request.
