This workplace safety poster was published in Kiev in the late 1980s by the Reklama publishing house for the Ministry of Bread Products of the Ukrainian SSR. Artist O. N. Pashuta combines industrial piping with the image of a skull to warn workers about the dangers of improper sealing and potential contamination. The poster was produced shortly after the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, when concerns about contamination and industrial safety were especially significant in Soviet Ukraine. Although the message relates specifically to safety within the food-processing industry, its imagery reflects the heightened awareness of hazardous materials and containment during this period. Created during the final years of the Soviet Union, the poster documents the use of graphic public information campaigns to communicate industrial hazards and encourage safer workplace practices. Size: 15" x 11.25" Condition: Very Good, Age-appropriate wear, fading and toning. Age toning in top border. Light border wear. Please use the photo zoom feature to get a better understanding of overall condition. *Additional photos available upon request.
