Southwest Harbor - House Plan

This roomy but charming farmhouse plan with classic New England style detailing will make the perfect home for your family. The courtyard garage has plenty of room for 3 cars or a workshop and adjoins the house through the adjoined mud room. A huge wrap around porch offers access to both the mud room and the main foyer.  Off the main foyer, on the right, is a cozy home office or study with room for up to two desks. To the rear of the house, a media room is the perfect place for watching movies with your family or reading a book and enjoying an 180 degree view of the sunset through the double hung transom windows facing the back yard.  Continuing through the first level, the central kitchen and open dining room face the grand open staircase and walk-in butler's pantry. Adjacent, the living room features tons of natural light and doors out to the side yard and covered side porch (for dining al fresco).  Upstairs, the primary bed suite looks out to the side yard over the roof deck and features an extended sitting room, a huge wardrobe and a luxury en-suite bathroom.  Facing the front of the house is a modest guest bedroom which has access to a full bathroom located midway down the hall to the roof deck near the convenient laundry room.  Finally, over the garage is a set of bedrooms which share a Jack & Jill privacy bathroom and enjoy views overlooking the side yard. Connecting them is a small dormer facing the courtyard which makes a perfect study space with built in bookshelves and chairs for reading.
