Souled Out

Taken at Ka'ena Point on Oahu. Ka'ena Meaning "The Heat" or "Red Glow" in Hawaiian. Hawaiian myth says this is where souls of the dead leap into the next plain of existence. I'm fascinated with this place and always feel a need to return like it has a pull on my own soul. I have always wanted a shot that captured what I thought these souls felt and saw as they took that leap. After a lifetime of frequenting this place and seeing many beautiful sunsets, I felt she really opened up to me on this night. Very grateful I had my camera there with me to capture the moment.
