Soloist III Viola

Our newest line of instruments is set apart by striking Himalayan maple and spruce, a deep reddish-brown varnish, and an open tone with substantial resonance and evenness. Each entirely handmade and play tested to assure the highest quality tone and playability. Highest quality aged hardwoods and spirit varnish, entirely hand applied. Smaller violists, in particular, rejoice!  Our efforts to create an instrument that rewards smaller adults or advancing youth were more than successful.  If you think a 13" and 14" viola can't have gorgeous sound, think again! The tone is open and resonant, rewarding the player with even, clean changes throughout all ranges. Available with ebony fittings of the highest quality, highest quality two-tree Despiau bridge, ebony fingerboard, inlaid purfling, and composite tailpiece with built-in fine tuners.  Solid, hand carved throughout, aged and highly figured European spruce and maple of the highest quality, rich reddish-brown oil varnish, and comes with the StringWorks Setup™ OUTFIT and OUTFIT DISCOUNT!  Do you need a bow and case with your cello?  Click here for our guide and outfit discount Trade-In Policy
