The Solitude Parachute X is a highly popular and versatile dry fly pattern, often considered an improved version of the classic Madam X design. It functions excellently as a general attractor while also effectively imitating large terrestrials like grasshoppers and stoneflies, or even adult caddis and mayflies. The parachute post ensures it floats consistently and low in the surface film, offering a natural "footprint" that is highly visible to the angler but still tempts selective trout.
