Solitude – Open Baffle Dipole

Solitude is our expression of how to do a dipole (open-baffle) loudspeaker. The popularity and reemergence of dipole loudspeakers cannot be ignored. If you are into open-baffle speakers, are a single critically focused listener, or reside in an apartment, condominium, or townhouse and enjoy playback a bit on the louder side, this speaker is perfect for you. With over two decades of open-baffle experience, including two product of the year awards, Tekton Design knows how to get the open-baffle loudspeaker sounding phenomenally good. Coupling our experience with open-baffle bass reproduction to our patented spot-on perfect midrange reproduction, delivered through our patented tweeter array with a total moving mass of 1.8 grams, pure magic happens. This patented array contributes to the overall frequency response starting at 190 Hz, and the crossover frequency is 340Hz. Nothing on Earth is built like this, and it sounds unlike anything else! Imagine boxless pure dipole bass mated to an assembly with 90% lower mass than an electrostatic panel speaker system capable of reaching high SPLs – that’s what we do! Made under U.S. Patent 9247339 Proprietary controlled directivity – acoustically superior proprietary polygon-oriented radiator high frequency array. This array disperses a precisely focused acoustical power pattern of that of a horn or waveguide without the audible ringing influence of horn flare walls constraining the soundwave for acoustically superior mid-range high frequency performance Dual 15″ woofers mounted in a boxless dipole configuration 95dB 2.83V@1m sensitivity 4 Ohm impedance Linear 22Hz-30kHz frequency response Minimum Recommended Amplifier Power: 30 Watts RMS 300 Watts maximum power handling Dimensions: Height 47 (119.4 cm) x Width 19″ (48.26 cm) x Depth 12″ (30.48 cm) Weight 87 lbs.
