Solid State Logic SSL 2+ MKII USB-C Audio Interface

The original SSL 2+ interface raised the bar by delivering a level of performance never seen before in its class. SSL 2+ MKII builds upon the success of its predecessor, with a series of significant enhancements and carefully curated feature additions. Designed for musicians, producers and engineers who demand the highest standards in sound quality, SSL 2+ MKII provides unmatched audio performance and a user-friendly design that caters for both those starting their creative journey and seasoned professionals.  SSL Heritage There are very few companies in the history of music and audio production that have been more influential, helped create more hit records and developed more technology that changed the production game than Solid State Logic. With the SSL 2+ MKII, you’re not just getting an audio interface; you’re investing in a piece of SSL’s knowledge, heritage, and complete understanding of what matters in music production. Class-Leading Mic Amps  The SSL 2+ MKII is equipped with two high-performance SSL-design microphone preamps delivering a massive 64 dB gain range, in conjunction with class-leading 116.5 dB dynamic range and -130.5 dBu EIN. The mic pre's can also operate in LINE mode for connecting synths or INSTRUMENT mode for connecting guitars/basses. Professional-Grade Outputs Located on the rear of the SSL 2+ MKII are four balanced outputs for connecting your studio monitors, rackmount kit, FX pedals, and more. With professional-grade outputs, the SSL 2+ MKII delivers 120 dB dynamic range, allowing you to hear every detail in your productions—from the most subtle riff to the deepest bassline. All outputs are DC-coupled, enabling you to send CV (control voltages) to synthesisers. Dual Headphone Outputs The SSL 2+ MKII features independent headphone outputs conveniently located on the front panel. These re-engineered outputs (featuring high-current NJM headphone amps) are capable of driving any type of headphones. Now boasting a jaw-dropping 119.5 dB dynamic range (MK I previously 111 dB), you have all the performance and clarity needed for accurate monitoring in any environment. SSL 2+ MKII allows you to create separate mixes for the artist and engineer. Legacy 4K Analogue Enhancement Circuit The SSL 4000 series consoles (often referred to as ‘4K’) are renowned for imparting a unique ‘mojo’ to sounds and instruments that pass through them. This mojo comes from multiple stages of harmonic distortion from compressor VCAs, VCA faders, and other crucial components such as the transistor mix amps. Using modern components, SSL has developed a circuit that distils the two essential characteristics of the 4K sound into a single design. Legacy 4K Analogue Enhancement injects a controlled amount of finely-tuned, sweet-sounding harmonic distortion and a ‘forward’ yet musical high-frequency EQ boost into the signal path, giving your sound the 4K mojo and presence that artists and engineers have loved for decades. Ins and Outs Front-access jack sockets provide convenient access to 2 instrument DI inputs and 2 independent headphone outputs. On the rear, SSL 2+ MKII provides Neutrik XLR Combo sockets for Mic/Line inputs, four balanced outputs, 5 pin DIN MIDI I/O and the USB connector. Next-Gen 32-bit 192 kHz  High-quality audio conversion is essential for artists and engineers alike and the SSL 2+ MKII is built around Next-Gen 32-bit 192 kHz Converters. The result? Clearer, more detailed recordings, preserving every nuance of your performance. Capture stunning acoustic performances, record drum machines and synths with more punch and texture. Make your live streams sound like professional broadcasts and mix quicker and easier as sounds are more defined. Professional Studio Quality, Front To Back Whether it’s the professional-grade mic preamps, Neutrik® XLR and jack connectors and Alps® pots, or the exceptional level of performance delivered from next-gen converters - all SSL products, including SSL 2+ MKII, offer pro studio quality, from the front to the back. The MKII range of interfaces feature updated switches on the front panel with status LEDs so you know exactly how your device is configured when recording.
