Solid Copper is important for chemical ionization of acids commonly found in citrus fruits like lemon, orange, grapefruit, and of course, lime. This is why other fancy copper mugs with nickel, tin, or other metal and food lacquer linings do not have the same taste as solid copper mug. The acid ionization of solid copper mugs for moscow mules is the premise of purchasing the mug in the first place. Moscow Mule Ingredients for 16 oz Mug - 1/2 Ounce Lime Juice/Lime Slice - 2 Ounces Vodka (or more if you've had a rough day, we don't judge!) - 6 Ounces of Ginger Beer - Fresh Ice and Solid Copper Mug Squeeze lime juice into a Solid Copper Moscow Mule mug and drop in the spent shell. Add ice cubes, then pour in the vodka and fill with cold ginger beer. Serve with a stirring rod. Don't be afraid to mix up different flavors of vodka. Peach and cucumber vodka are very popular also! Enjoy! Care Instructions Uncoated copper will tarnish naturally. Many of our customers prefer the antique or vintage tarnished barware look. To remove tarnish, apply an inexpensive acid such as white vinegar and table salt. To minimize tarnish, hand wash in minimal chemicals.
