Solar Ornithopter 'Kaku'

The Solar Ornithopter uses solar energy to flap its wings, flying gracefully with eco-friendly, light-activated propulsion. It requires no power supply, making it easy to display anywhere, and its quiet pendulum mechanism is perfect for serene spaces. The 'kaku' model, which flaps its wings just like a bird, is based around a square with sharp edges. The inorganic and simple design is finished with many metal parts to truly capture the feeling of movement that comes from it. The product requires simple assembly and balance adjustments by the customer. The wings start to flap at the illumination intensity of about 300 Lux. It will begin to turn at about 500 Lux. Since it is driven by low power, it may not rotate due to slight wind or static electricity. If this is the case, you might wish to try another location.
