Soft Hackle Grouse

Soft Hackle Grouse — Wet Fly with Peacock Herl Small, buggy, and unreasonably effective — this is the fly that tells trout, “Dinner’s served.” The Soft Hackle Grouse blends peacock herl and genuine grouse soft hackle into a wet fly that fools finicky fish and flat-out works when other patterns sulk. For anglers who prefer their flies to do the talking. Designed for trout lovers who want simple, realistic action and dependable hookups. AXG Life — Life, Adventure-Ready, even when your casting is not. Key Features & Design Pattern: Classic wet fly — simple, effective, and irresistibly buggy. Body material: Peacock herl for that iridescent, bug-like shimmer trout can’t ignore. Wings/Soft Hackle: Natural grouse soft hackle provides lifelike movement and subtle profile in the water. Colors: Peacock (natural iridescent), Red, and Yellow options to match feeding moods. Sizes: Available in #12 through #18 — covers the trout menu from polite nibbles to ravenous strikes. Performance & Benefits This fly is all about understated decadence. The peacock herl body flashes just enough to trigger curiosity; the grouse hackle pulsates with every twitch and drift, creating the illusion of a struggling insect. In other words, it turns stuck weekends into hero stories and improves your odds when the fish are being dramatic. Easy to cast, natural in the water, and picky-trout-approved — the Soft Hackle Grouse performs on rivers, streams, and those secret pools you promised you wouldn’t tell anyone about. Sizes #12–#18 give you the versatility to match hatch sizes without overthinking it. Perfect for wet-fly drifts, swinging across current seams, or adding a bit of life to an otherwise polite presentation. Hook up more often: subtle flash, natural movement, and a profile trout recognize as breakfast. Ready for your next story? Toss a few into your fly box and make your next drift worth bragging about. Add to cart and make Monday jealous.
