Its ability to thrive with minimal care means you can enjoy its beauty without feeling burdened by upkeep. Perfect for those who want a plant that adds charm to their outdoor space without requiring constant attention, this laurel bush is a dependable companion for your garden. Planting & Care 1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location that receives full sun to partial shade. Prepare the soil with compost to promote healthy growth. Dig a hole that is twice as wide as the root ball and slightly deeper. Place the tree in the center, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Spread a 3" layer of mulch three feet around the plant, pulling it back a few inches from the base. 2. Watering: Water regularly to help establish the roots. Once established, this cherry laurel is drought-tolerant but benefits from occasional deep watering. 3. Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain desired shape and encourage fuller growth. Heavy pruning is suitable to manage size and promote denser foliage. 4. Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring with a balanced fertilizer to boost growth. Over-fertilization can lead to excessive leaf growth with less blooming.
