The stone's natural veining means each burner has its own subtle pattern, so no two pieces look quite alike even when cut from the same block of soapstone. Find sticks to pair with it in our Burners and Holders collection, or start with the Tribal Soul Incense Sticks, a reliable everyday choice. How to use it Set it on a table or altar for solo use, or bring it out for group meditation or ritual settings where more than one stick burns at a time. Multi-stick burners like this one are a practical choice for shared spaces — many practitioners keep one on hand specifically for group sits or gatherings. It also works well as a simple, sculptural holder even between uses. Care Soapstone is a talc-rich rock, the softest common stone at roughly Mohs 1-2, and it scratches with just a fingernail, so handle it gently and keep it away from harder objects that could gouge the surface. If the surface is ever abraded or sanded, avoid breathing the resulting dust. For fire safety, always burn incense on this heat-resistant, stable surface away from fabric or paper, never leave a lit stick unattended, keep the room ventilated, let the stone cool fully before handling or moving it, and keep it away from children, pets, and birds. Wipe the soapstone clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth once it has cooled. Frequently asked questions Is soapstone a hard, durable stone? No. Soapstone is talc-rich and the softest common stone at roughly Mohs 1-2 — it scratches with just a fingernail, so handle it gently and store it away from harder objects. Is it safe to leave incense burning unattended in this? No. Never leave a lit stick unattended. Burn it on this heat-resistant, stable surface away from fabric or paper, keep the room ventilated, and let the stone cool fully before handling it. Can several sticks burn in it at once? Yes, that's the point of the multi-slot design — it's built to hold more than one stick burning at the same time, which makes it a practical choice for group meditation or shared ritual settings. Normal use and wiping with a cloth does not create airborne dust. How do I clean the burner? Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth once it has cooled completely from use. Never handle it while it or the ash inside is still warm. Does this burner have any health benefits? No. This is a decorative and functional incense holder, not a health product or medical device, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
