The soapstone top panel kit is a beautiful stone that provides added heat output even after the stove has cooled. Soapstone has very slow thermal release and will retain heat. The soapstone top panel kit will enhance the performance of the stove. The stone will allow the firebox to retain the heat for a longer period of time, extending the life of the coals and making the stove easier to re-light.
