Snow in Summer

Snow in Summer (Cerastium tomentosum) is an attractive, mat-forming perennial cherished for its silvery-gray foliage and profusion of small, white star-shaped flowers. Blooming from late spring to early summer, this hardy plant creates a striking "snow-covered" effect in the garden. It is well-suited for rock gardens, borders, ground covers, and even container planting, thanks to its ability to spread quickly and form a dense, beautiful mat. Snow in Summer thrives in full sun and requires well-drained soil, making it ideal for dry, sunny locations. Its drought-tolerance and deer-resistance add to its low-maintenance appeal, ensuring that it stays lush even in less-than-ideal conditions. With its ability to self-seed and fill in garden gaps, Snow in Summer is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking easy, long-lasting beauty that enhances any landscape.
