Snaregade Dining Table - Round

The Audo Copenhagen Snaregade Round Dining Table brings that same elegant, minimalist design philosophy as the rectangular and oval versions but in a circular format that fundamentally changes how people interact around meals. Designed by Norm Architects and originally created for Audo founder Bjarne Hansen's own dining room, the round shape creates equal seating where everyone faces each other naturally without head-of-table hierarchy. At 83cm height and 120cm diameter, it seats 4-5 people comfortably with that efficient use of space and visual lightness that defines the Snaregade collection. Available in black-stained or dark-stained oak veneer tops over plywood, paired with powder-coated black steel bases that create that signature thin silhouette, or with newer linoleum tops that handle the realities of daily family dinners and restaurant service without showing every mark. What makes the round version particularly smart for certain spaces is how it maximizes seating in a smaller footprint compared to rectangular tables - no wasted corner space, and everyone can reach shared dishes in the center without awkward stretching. The thinner top profile enhances that elegant, contemporary aesthetic without sacrificing durability - the oak veneer construction with polyurethane lacquer finish handles spills and daily use, while veneer is less prone to splintering and warping than solid wood. The linoleum top options are genuinely practical for families with young children constantly knocking over glasses, or café settings where tables get wiped down constantly - hearty enough to withstand real abuse while maintaining that sophisticated minimalism. The powder-coated steel base provides rock-solid stability from a central pedestal without the visual bulk or leg placement issues of four-legged tables where people are constantly bumping knees. Works beautifully in breakfast nooks, smaller dining rooms, or restaurants where you're maximizing covers without tables feeling cramped. The circular shape also means it can go in more locations - centered under pendant lights, tucked into bay windows, or positioned in open floor plans where it becomes a gathering point. Audo Copenhagen was formed by uniting MENU, by Lassen, and The Audo, creating a brand where founder Bjarne Hansen's personal furniture needs shaped product development - this entire table collection exists because he needed something specific for his own home that was then so well-executed it went into production. Their collaboration with Norm Architects, founded in Copenhagen in 2008 by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, reflects shared commitment to Scandinavian design ideology emphasizing timeless aesthetics and natural materials with modernist restraint. Norm creates designs that unite materials and craftsmanship while embodying timeless simplicity with nothing more to add or subtract. The Snaregade Round Table demonstrates this philosophy perfectly - solving real functional needs through restrained design that feels customized for every setting while bringing personality and intimacy through thoughtful proportions.
