Snake Bite Necklace

An ophidian portent of sudden doom... in Greek myth, Eurydice was the wife of musician Orpheus, he played joyful songs whilst his bride danced. But alas, lustful Aristaeus, son of Apollo saw and pursued Eurydice, who stepped on a viper, was bitten, and died thereafter. Heartbroken, Orpheus journeyed to the Underworld to retrieve her, charming Hades and Persephone with his music and was allowed to regain his lost love, on the condition he wouldn't look back at her until they reached the upper world. Tragically, as they neared the threshold, Orpheus glanced back, and Eurydice vanished forever. This striking hand polished pewter snake necklace captures that fatal moment of beauty and danger. The polished serpent's head gleams with dark allure, its hypnotic eyes inlaid with Austrian crystal in a deep Siam red. A symbol of desire, betrayal, and irreversible fate, this snake design embodies forbidden love and ancient myth, making it a powerful statement piece for those drawn to gothic romance, mythology-inspired jewelry, and bold symbolic adornment. One glance was all it took, tempt fate and let desire bite back. As stunning serpent necklace for those that dare to wear! Pendant hangs from a high quality chain with clasp fastener.
