Snail Fork Sculpture

Whimsical, sculptural, and full of quiet character — the Snail Fork Sculpture is a small work of art forged from vintage silverware and brought to life by hand in the Lost & Forged studio. Each piece begins as a real silverplate dinner fork, carefully cut, bent, and formed into a charming snail with a gently curved “shell” and delicate, curling antennae. What was once utilitarian flatware becomes a creature with personality and presence — a tiny reminder that beauty can emerge from the most unexpected materials. Artisanal Story & Craftsmanship Every snail is forged one at a time from reclaimed silverware, shaped through hand tooling rather than casting or molds. The natural curves of the fork bowl become the snail’s shell, while the tines are transformed into expressive feelers and a graceful, balanced base. Subtle variations in pattern, patina, and proportion ensure that no two are ever exactly alike. At approximately 2.25″ long × 2″ tall × 1.25″ wide, this sculpture is perfect for a desk, windowsill, nightstand, or shelf — a small accent with big personality. We treat each piece with a tarnish-resistant finish, so it will retain its luster without polishing.
