Smoky Quartz Mini Pin

Smoky Quartz is a natural brown-to-grey variety of quartz, traditionally associated with grounding and steadiness. This mini pin sets a small genuine smoky quartz piece into a metal pin base, making it an easy, wearable way to carry the stone on a lapel, bag, or hat. Because the crystal is natural, shade and shape vary slightly from pin to pin. Quick facts Stone Smoky Quartz Composition Quartz (SiO₂), naturally irradiated for its brown-grey tone Hardness (Mohs) 7 (quartz); metal pin base is a separate material Color Translucent brown to smoky grey Chakra Root Traditionally used for Grounding, steadiness, and letting go of tension Care / Water-safe Wipe the stone only — keep the metal pin base dry Meaning & history Smoky quartz gets its color from natural trace radiation acting on quartz over long periods underground. In crystal tradition it is linked to the root chakra and to grounding — staying steady, clearing heavy energy, and releasing what no longer serves you. Wearable pieces like this pin are a popular, low-key way to keep a grounding stone with you as part of protection and grounding practice throughout the day. How to use it Pin it to a jacket lapel, bag strap, hat, or scarf so the stone stays visible and within reach. Many people also set it on a desk when not wearing it, treating it as a small grounding touchstone during the workday. Browse more wearable pin and keychain pieces alongside it. Care & cleansing Wipe the crystal gently with a soft, dry cloth; avoid submerging the pin, since the metal base can tarnish or rust if it gets wet. Keep it away from harsh chemicals and perfume sprays, which can dull the metal finish. This is a decorative/symbolic piece, not a health product or medical device. It's a genuine small smoky quartz stone mounted on a metal pin base, for wearing on clothing or bags. Smoky quartz is traditionally associated with grounding — it's a decorative and symbolic piece, not a health product or medical device. Is it water-safe? The stone itself tolerates a light wipe, but avoid getting the metal pin base wet — it can tarnish or rust. A dry cloth is the safest way to clean it. Is it daily-wear or sun-safe? Yes, it's designed for daily wear on a lapel, bag, or hat. Normal sun exposure won't affect the stone; just protect the metal base from moisture. How do I cleanse and charge it? A smoke cleanse or resting it near a selenite piece overnight works well and won't risk the metal base the way water-based methods would. How can I tell it's genuine smoky quartz? Look for natural translucency and gradual, uneven color variation from clear to smoky brown — genuine smoky quartz doesn't have the flat, uniform darkness of dyed or synthetic glass. What does Smoky Quartz pair well with? It's often paired with other grounding stones like hematite or black tourmaline, or worn alongside brighter stones for balance — pairing is a matter of personal preference.
